WE WORK COLLABORATIVELY TO PROVIDE A PLATFORM FOR BOTH EMERGING AND ESTABLISHED VOICES, BRINGING COMPELLING STORIES AND UNIQUE PERSPECTIVES TO SCREEN. ESTABLISHED IN 2010 BY CO-FOUNDERS EMILY ANDREWS & LAURA NORDIN; WE ARE PRODUCERS, FILMMAKERS, TEACHERS, STUDENTS, ARTISTS, & CREATORS.
Emily Andrews, Laura Nordin, and Jen Pogue are a collaborative and creative producing team who have brought audiences theatrical releases and the festival runs of such feature films as Cocksure Lads - The Movie and Burning, Burning, Warren P. Sonoda’s action thriller Things I Do For Money, Gord Rand’s absurd dinner party comedy Pond Life, Astrid Van Wieren and Jon Michaelson’s heart wrenching social work drama The River You Step In, and Canadian legend Don Shebib's feature film Nightalk which premiered at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival. They have produced award-winning short films which have been official selections for Festivals all over the world such as Jessica Jessica currently airing on CBC’s Reflections Program and Amazon Prime, Stuck streaming on Amazon Prime and Short of the Week with over 65 million views, Case of the Massey Bodice Ripping streaming on Highball TV, and Orchid which received the Toronto ACTRA Women’s Committee Toolkit Grant and is now available for streaming on NSI Canada. Upcoming short films currently on the festival circuit include Age of Dysphoria starring Gordon Pinsent and Laura Vandervoort, the all-female horror film Best Friends Forever, and Torching the Dusties adapted from Margaret Atwood's darkly comedic short story.

Laura Nordin produces, directs, and acts.
Currently based in Toronto, she is originally from Vancouver, BC. Laura holds her BFA from UBC and her MFA from the joint program between Harvard’s American Repertory Theatre Institute and the Moscow Art Theatre School. In 2010, she co-founded Filmcoop with Emily Andrews as a means to collaborate with and encourage filmmakers to realize their creative vision. In 2016, the CFC approached Laura and Emily to produce the short dramatic film CLEO which went on to premiere at TIFF 2016.
Emily Andrews is Toronto-based producer. In 2010 she became a founder and CEO of Filmcoop Inc. which has produced over 20 award-winning short films, 5 features, numerous music videos, PSA’s and commercials. Her films have been selected to screen and won awards at various festivals including Cannes, TIFF, Canadian Film Festival, Venice, Budapest, Raindance to name a few. Recently selected to pitch at Cannes, Berlin and TIFF for a feature in development through Breaking Through the Lens, awarded Best Producer for a short at Queen Palm Film Festival and chosen by IPF/CMF to develop a webseries called Less Than Kosher. Some selected producing credits include: in post production with Don Shebib’s most recent feature film ‘Nightalk,’ Warren P Sonoda’s feature ‘Things I Do For Money’ (Whistler Film Festival) ‘Cocksure Lads’ feature (Canadian Film Festival), ‘Jessica Jessica’ short film (CBC), Darcy’s Music Video (MuchFACT award), ‘Orchid’ short film (NSI), ‘Cleo’ short film (TIFF Official Selection).
JEN POGUE (she/her) is a multi-award winning host, creator, actor, producer, and writer who is passionate about fostering and platforming Canadian talent.
Recent on-screen credits include APPLE TV’s GHOST WRITER, Netflix’s I WOKE UP A VAMPIRE, CTV’s HUDSON & REX, and CBC’s ENDLINGS.
Jen has been a proud part of Filmcoop since the 2017 production of ORCHID short film when they were connected via the ACTRA Women’s Committee Toolkit program.
Jen serves as the Director of Industry for the Canadian Film Fest, co-host for the WOMEN ON SCREEN OUT LOUD Podcast, and creator/showrunner/host of the new lifestyle digital series COUNTY BLOOMS for Bell Fibe TV, of which she recently won a 2024 Canadian Screen Award for Best Host of a Web Program or Series.
